The Red Devils duo exchanged a couple of messages on Twitter surrounding the England striker's gratuitous holiday snap of him out on the water Manchester United have found a new captain in the form of Marcus Rashford, but, the England international is not quite a skipper in the mould of Roy Keane or Wayne Rooney - at least not yet anyway! Rashford is slowly growing into a valued first-team player at Old Trafford and is currently enjoying his holidays ahead of the 2017-18 season.
However, team-mate Anthony Martial could not let an opportunity to tease the 19-year-old slide when he posted a picture of himself appearing to steer a boat. The France international branded the striker "Captain Marcus" to which Rashford responded "Captain Martial" suggesting an inside joke between the two young pretenders. Both players have a long way to go if they are to have any chance of captaining Man United though, after experiencing uninspiring personal campaigns last term.
Rashford found the net just five times in 35 Premier League appearances, while Martial only managed to score four league goals. Once they get the playful banter out of the way, they will look to rectify that this term with pre-season and a league opener against West Ham looming on the horizon in August.
